The First 11 days of November.

Today is 11-11-11. I think that's pretty exciting. The first week or so of November consisted of Cornhuskin', Cornhuskin', and freezing. It was so much fun though. I loved corn, and I can finally tell people "You just have to experience it!"

Hall Raid.
A time when girls dress in all black, put on war paint, and run down the halls screaming at 2 am. which is entirely too much fun.
My suite is the best!

intensity at its finest.

Cornhuskin': the night of.
The nigh of corn was crazy, and hectic, and stressful, and FUN. I decided to sit back this year, and observe, and take it all in. It was so fun to just watch all the skits, and see everyone's hard work put into action. Alex and Robert came to watch corn, but decided it was all inside jokes, and left. Turns out, it really is. If you don't know why we yell pig noises, and get over excited about onyx's, it just will not be as fun. After all of the fun of the skits, dancing, hog calls, and corn shuckin' there is breakfast in the dining hall, one of the few meals that BDH can do well. Afterwards I just hung out with some friends. All and all, it was a super fun night.

Chorale Trip.
The chorale took a recruitment trip to Wilmington for two days. It was nice to take a break from school, and go to a new place, and spend time with some of my favorite music girls! I got to walk around on the beach, and smell the salty ocean air that took me back to summers in Florida with my best friends. We toured different high schools, and hopefully recruited some future Angels! Here are some pictures from the beach!

11-11-11.
I'm currently blogging from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. I feel like almost all of my friends, including my roommate, and my suite mate are from here. I came home with Sara Anne for the weekend. I am cuddling with Millie, the cutie pie, under a blanket that Mrs. Averett just handed me that was straight out of the dryer. I love the Averetts. They are such a blessing to have in my life, and a family that I consider my own! I am super excited to spend the weekend in Winston-Salem, Clemmons, and Lewisville. It will be super fun. Here are my pictures so far!
What a cutie patootie! I love Millie!

Here we are again. I have missed puppies.

October In Raleigh.

October was a great month, just like all the other ones I've had in Raleigh so far. I think that this picture with caption is my blogging style. I like to show off my pictures, and my friends, because frankly, I think they're worth showing off.

Maria's Fashion Show.
My roommate, Anna is a fashion design major. She is always sewing. I mean, always. Sometimes I go to bed, and she is sewing, and I wake up and she is still sitting at her desk with Bernina (the sewing machine). She had to make a sample of a tank top. After she finished making the top, she realized that it would fit my favorite stuffed animal, Maria. So, obviously we had to put it on her, and take pictures of it.

White Iris Ball.
Meredith College has a fall dance every year. This year, it was at the Marriott, and had a Roaring' 20's theme. I went with Alex, and some other friends, and had a really awesome time. It was really nice to get off a campus, and go be silly and dance for a few hours. I had a great time!

Ring Dinner.
I can't wait for October of my junior year. Why? because then I'll be getting my ONYX. The iconic sign of a Meredith girl. The ring that gets recognized all over the place and can always spark a conversation about the sisterhood of being a Meredith girl. Well, this October, my big sis got her onyx, so obviously I had to go "surprise" (which is not really a surprise, since they all know that we will be there.) her, and be excited and jealous, and have a fun time. I love my big sis!
Sweet Sarah and her ONYX.

Supporting our bigs!

North Carolina State Fair.
Warning, this post will be mostly pictures, because what better way is there to show my exciting fair experiences? I got to go to the North Carolina State fair twice this year. I went with Sara Anne's family, and then a with a group of friends. It was definitely an experience, and I had some pretty tasty fair food.

I won the water squirting game, and thus ended up with Steve. I had never won a fair game, so I was just really super excited.

Here we are with our prizes for the day! Rebekah, SA, and Megan got fish, and I won Steve.

Here we are going down the slide of awesomeness. Needless to say, I lost the race that I didn't know we were having.

Sara Anne and I at the candy store. I really love this picture of us.

When we went to the fair the second time, we all won fish. I'm sad to say that as of today (11-11-11), they have all died. May our 6 fish rest in peace.

 Cru Costume and Dance Party.
Campus Crusade has a dance/costume party this halloween. It was so so fun. I went with some other girls from Meredith, as 80's workout girls. We danced, and giggled and had a fun time. I love to dance, especially with great friends!
Being silly, like usual.

Sweet Sarah, one of my best friends!

Being normal, and super cute.

Chapel Hill.
For Halloween night, some friends and I went down to Chapel Hill to walk around on Franklin Street. We made t-shirts, and dressed up as crayons. It was a super simple costume, and was fun to make. It was freezing cold, we had to walk really far, and I had a great night. I had never been to Chapel Hill before, so it was just all kinds of exciting.

October was awesome.

Sizzlin' September

I'm a little behind in my blogging. And when I say a little, I mean about two months. Turns out its really quite difficult to keep a blog going. But, I want to share my life with you. So, here come September, October, and November, in monthly pieces.

Sizzlin' September.
Not only does this make a great blog name, it's an annual event at Meredith. It's a concert of a currently popular band. This year, we had Tyler Hilton, and Gloriana. Now, growing up in Oklahoma, I'm a huge country music fan, so I was thrilled. The music was great, I made some really great memories with my friends, and I got an autograph. All in all it was a great night!
My sweet big sis, Sarah, and I at the concert.

Tyler Hilton. He is not too shabby. To listen to some of his music, click here.

Thursdays.
Thursday nights have become one of my favorite nights. Not because I'm in college now, and a participant in "thirsty Thursday", but because it's the night when my entire suite gets a little bit too silly. I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but I love my suite. They are the sweetest girls, and they put up with me. I am truly, truly blessed to live with these women. One of my favorite components to Thursday nights would be the pictures we take. You just have to seem some of them for yourself.

Yes, these pictures are super embarrassing, and not really the most attractive. But, when you've got friends like mine, you just have so much fun that you simply cannot help it.

Cru Barn Party.
Since starting college I started going to Cru (otherwise known as Campus Crusade). I really love it. I find it so refreshing to go learn about the Lord in a low key, casual, but still deep environment. My entire life I've been a Sunday and Wednesday night kind of girl. Cru meets on Thursday nights. It's given me a new night to look forward to (on top of the previous section on Thursdays). Cru had a barn party this year, where we dressed up like people who would spend time in a barn, had a barn fire, and had too much fun. We line danced, went on a hayride, painted pumpkins, and had some rather interesting food.
(l-r) Robert, Patrick Alex, Sara, Sara Anne, and Katherine.
Here are my wonderful friends. We went on a hayride through a farm. We waited in line forever, and it felt like the ride lasted an entire 3 minutes. That could just be because we were having so much fun.

(l-r) Katherine, Alex, Robert, Sara, and Patrick.
Here we are trying some of that interesting food I mentioned. Katherine is eating caramel apples, which she loved. Alex and I are eating fried oreos, which he loved. I'm not too sure what Robert is doing, but I'm sure he was having fun. And Patrick is holding caramel apples. Turns out, Patrick hates caramel, but we wanted him in the picture, so we gave him something to hold. You can see how thrilled he is over said caramel apples.

NCSU vs. GT.
Here's to my first college football game as a college student! It was weird to be one of the "big" kids that I would see around OU's campus. I remember running around in my little Boomer Sooner cheerleading outfit at age 4, looking at all the people that just seemed so grown up. Well, it turns out that people grow up. I am not one of those kids that I used to marvel at. Sara Anne's parents gave us tickets, (Thanks, Mr. and Mrs. Averett!) and we had a ball. We went tailgating with Cru, made friends with Georgia Tech fans, danced outside the student section, and lost the game. WOLF! PACK!
Christine and I at the game! The Tech fans behind us became our friends after I asked them about national football rankings (I had to check on my Sooners!). They wanted to take a picture with us, but I couldn't find it, so this one will have to do.
I mentioned dancing earlier, so here it is. We were doing the Cha-Cha Slide. This picture makes me really happy. And then Christine hit that man in the face, and it was quite funny. I have such wonderful friends!

Tailgating with Cru before the game. Go Pack!
We ran into the guys tailgating. It was a fun day!

So there it is folks. My September in Raleigh.
